The original plating shop came into existence in the 1960‘s as a part of Zbrojovka Vsetin, in order to support its production of knitting machines. Currently Bomex provides surface finishing services to hundreds of small, medium, and large companies.
The following is a brief history of the company
- Plating shop originated in the 1965 to support Zbrojovka Vsetin production
- The first plating process used was hard chrome plating, other processes were added gradually
- Electroless nickel plating line Kanigen was installed in 1981
- Privatization of Zbrojovka Vsetin started in 1990, the plating shop then became part of Zbrojovka Vsetin Indet
- In 1999 the shop became part of Galvamet company
- In 2005 the plant started to operate independently under the name Bomex
